We are delighted that you are considering our highly successful Sixth Form for your post-16 education. Our school is warm and caring, with a strong sense of family and community at its core. We are proud of our popular and thriving co-educational Sixth Form, where students benefit from being part of a close-knit community that values each individual and meets their unique needs.

Our impressive Grade II listed building attracts a diverse range of academically able students from across the West Midlands, who achieve excellent outcomes. In 2025, 33% of A-level grades were A*–A and 62% were A*–B. Success here is about more than results. Students excel not only because of our focus on academic excellence but also on personal and social development.

Our Sixth Form provision is academic in nature, but by encouraging students to aim for the highest standards while making significant contributions to the life of the school, we create an atmosphere where freedom and responsibility are evenly balanced. Students can participate in a range of extracurricular activities to supplement their academic learning, including clubs and societies, extracurricular visits and trips, and leadership and mentoring schemes.

We welcome applications from new students who share our high expectations and want to play an active role in the wider life of our school. We also offer several scholarships for academic success at GCSE results. The Queen Mary’s High School Scholarship aims to provide a range of support to help students through their A-levels and beyond.
